meets the Paris ecosystem
The key challenge for the organizers of Startup Safari Paris was to make sure participants find and meet the right people across multiple venues, different functions and industries and outside of designated "stations"
After Ondrej Svoboda used Swapcard at a networking event, he decided to deploy the event app in his own conference to easily inform and engage various participants
As an early adopter of Swapcard, Ondrej Svoboda decided to move from being a user to an organizer. He implemented the digital platform at Startup Safari’s 2018 Paris edition, focusing on three functions. First, program and scheduling. Second, networking and in-person interactions. Last but not least, integration with the ticketing solution Eventbrite. His method of bringing it all together was to encourage users to search and meet based on hashtags and filters. For example #fintech, #female, #jobs The Startup Safari organizers allowed registration exclusively through the event app. Moreover, they encouraged attendees and visitors to follow program updates and reach out to one another via the smart platform. The result: engagement skyrocketed and usage rate hit 80%. Confusion and frustration made room for focus and a sense of fulfilment.
